Headshot is directed by Kimo Stamboel and Timo Tjahjanto. It is an Indonesian action thriller. The movie follows the life of Ishmael, a man with severe head injuries who washes ashore with no memory of his past. As Ishamel regains his memory, he remembers that he was a skilled enforcer of a sadistic criminal leader called Lee. To escape his violent past, Ishmael seeks to protect Ailin. In doing so, he goes on a bloody quest of redemption and revenge. The film captures the essence of identity, and the cost of violence in a moving way through the harsh fight sequences and deep fried action.

In the cast, Iko Uwais plays the role of amnesic protagonist Ishmael and brings to life physical intensity and emotion in every shot while getting into fist fights. Chelsea Islan plays Ailin, Ishamael’s heartfelt doctor making her the soul of the film. Gloomy crime dominator Lee is brought to life by Sunny Pang with his chilling charm making him an unforgettable villian.
